Launch of the Qobuz music application on Samsung Smart TVs

High-resolution music streaming service Qobuz has launched its very first TV app, and if you’re a Samsung smart TV owner, you’ll be the first to enjoy it.

There is a caveat to the availability of the app, however, as it will only be available in the 18 markets around the world where Qobuz is currently present.

So, for owners of Samsung smart TVs in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States, you’re in luck.

On top of that, the Galaxy Store will feature the Qobuz app as an editor’s choice within the smart TV area, bringing it to the fore for increased awareness.

Samsung TV owners who download the Qobuz app are entitled to a one-month free trial to experience the offer; a music streaming service with man-made playlists, exclusive content like Qobuz bios, as well as album reviews, sleeve notes and digital booklets, all of which make Qobuz a service streaming for serious music fans.

Existing subscribers can log in via QR code for instant access to their favorite albums and playlists in what is described as a familiar and easy-to-use interface.

Upon launching the app, Maya Harris, Senior Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships for Samsung Electronics, said, “Samsung is dedicated to redefining home entertainment and pushing the boundaries of what customers can expect from. smart TVs, ”said“ Qobuz’s launch on Samsung Smart TVs illustrates just how dynamic the Smart TV experience has become, both as a single platform and as a hub for the whole connected home.

Georges Fornay, Deputy CEO of Qobuz, noted that “Smart TV applications are frequently requested by our subscribers, so it makes sense to develop primarily for older people. It’s exciting to know that our service will be presented to so many music fans and all potential customers across the Samsung ecosystem.
